Who cares about library statistics? Or who cares about library statistics offered in Excel?
Not me for one, so if you want to get people to notice your stats use an infographic. An infographic is a visual representation of information or data, that makes information attention-grabbing, easily consumable and shareable. And as with many of the great online tools that I am exploring for Rudái 23; it's free! For Thing 8 I chose to use Venngage, the free infographic maker. I have used a number of other free online tools to produce infographics, including Canva and Piktochart but I find Venngage the easiest to use. There are so many templates available that it makes it really simple to produce noticeable stats in no time at all. So don't bore people with charts in Excel (not that I don't love Excel for compiling and managing statistics)...get visual!

Powtoon is an online tool that allows you to create animated presentations. This animation was created to promote our LibGuides. It is very ease to use with lots of free themes, templates and images. You can add audio, if you don't wish to talk simply add music. With Powtoon it's more than a standard presentation which make it more fun and engaging for the viewer. I would recommend using Powtoon to share information; whatever you have to say it's easy to bring it to life! It is free but if you don't want to see the logo on our presentations you'll have to pay. It is easy to use but you can spend copious amounts of time tying to get your presentation to stand out using the abundant animations and rehearsing your timings. It's free so you have nothing to lose... try it out for your self... Powtoon.com. |
